Bankruptcy
Our firm has significant bankruptcy and receivership litigation experience. Our involvement is generally on the creditor side but we have also advised trustees from time to time on potential claims against third parties. We have represented numerous corporate and individual creditors in the following bankruptcy-related matters:
- Preparation and submission of proofs of claim
- Pursuit of adversarial proceedings on significant claims
- Advice on the effect of the "automatic stay" on state or federal proceedings against the debtor and related parties, and motions to lift the automatic stay
- Pursuit of non-dischargeability of claims
We also have experience in receivership litigation outside of bankruptcy court, including the pursuit of, or defense against, receiverships in state and federal courts in Georgia.
